HINTS FOR WRITING YOUR PERSONAL AD

Writing an ad can be very difficult.  How can you manage to describe yourself to attract the right kind of match through one little ad?  Well, here are some hints to get you going:

1.  Be honest.  Not being honest only wastes people's time.

2.  Submit a photograph.   Ads with photos get more attention.

3.  In your photo, SMILE!

4.  Do not be afraid to tell what your dreams are.

5.  Say if you want to or do not want to have children. This is very important to make sure you meet a man with the same desires.

6.  Do not be too modest.   Be upfront with your strengths (and weaknesses).  If you are a good cook, say so! If you play the piano, say so.  Remember, everyone has good qualities.  But you have to let the men know what they are.  They can't guess these qualities.

7.  Using an e-mail address for your contact is the best and quickest way to get a response.  We understand that this is not always possible, though.

8.  If your English skills are not good, do not be afraid to let someone else help you write your ad or to respond to men's letters to you.  If you use the help of a translator, though, when responding to a man, please let him know.

9.  A man's first e-mail to you may not be too long or interesting.  Remember, he is probably nervous, too.   Try to respond to each and every e-mail you receive.  You never know which one might turn out to be the perfect gentleman.
